ABOUT SWAMP MEDIA GROUP: Founded in 2001 by friends Antonio Llapur and Mathew Sjafiroeddin, Swam Media Group is an independent motion picture and entertainment company in Las Vegas, NV. In 2004 the duo created JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE! - an odd little short fan film about the theatrical habits of a certain homicidal clown from Gotham City. Their current project, SPACE DETECTIVE, starring Sjafiroeddin and directed by Llapur, is the story of SHIRO - a mysterious galactic sleuth and crime fighter. Set in a galaxy filled with murderous gangsters, hip-hop aliens hoods, and cyborg sex kittens - Space Detective is a sleek, sexy sci-fi adventure in the classic tradition of FLASH GORDON or STAR WARS, but with an ultra-modern vibe and a visual style unlike anything ever seen.

ANTONIO LLAPUR - CO-FOUNDER: Antonio studied film at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he co-directed, co-wrote, and produced the short film THEY'RE JUST GIRLS as well as serving as a producer on the short, MAIL ORDER NINJAS. A life-long Las Vegas resident, Antonio spent time working in Hollywood as a screenwriter, where he received minor work doing some unaccredited script doctoring. Unsatisfied with Hollywood, Antonio returned to Las Vegas with hopes of putting together his own independent feature film. Aside from being an accomplished artist, Antonio has spent years covering Las Vegas nightlife as one of the city's most loved local writers. Antonio, whose work has primarily focused on the nightclub / rave music scene, has served as an interviewer and photographer for COOLVEGAS.COM and as head-writer for XPERIENCE MAGAZINE. Most notably, Antonio served for three years as the nightlife columnist for the LAS VEGAS WEEKLY in the wildly popular column, DIGITAL TONY. From February 2002, through February 2005, Digital Tony was the first and foremost word on Vegas nightlife. The weekly adventures of Digital Tony featured in-depth nightclub and coverage, music reviews, fashion, interviews with top club music talent like THE CRYSTAL METHOD, Beastie Boys' DJ HURRICANE, and PAUL VAN DYK. Check out Digital Tony's latest adventures every month in SCENE:LV Magazine.

Of course, Antonio's true calling is behind the camera. Something that's been evident since late 1977 when a toddler Tony took his first trip to a movie theater to see something called STAR WARS. "When I was little, most of my friend's heroes were Joe Montana or Michael Jordan. Mine was George Lucas."

Antonio co-wrote, produced, and directed the Swamp's first short - JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE! Currently, Antonio is directing the Swamp's ambitious, novella-length sci-fi adventure, SPACE DETECTIVE. In addition to calling the shots behind the camera, he also heads the film's design and visual f/x department and portrays the nefarious MR. BLACK.

MATTHEW SJAFIROEDDIN - CO-FOUNDER: Matthew is also a former film student from UNLV. There, he co-wrote and starred in the short films THEY'RE JUST GIRLS and MAIL ORDER NINJAS. Matthew - who stars as the mysterious galactic crimefighter, SHIRO in the Swamp's upcoming release SPACE DETECTIVE - is an accomplished stage actor, painter, writer, and poet. Matthew recently appeared in a principal role in the 2004 independent feature film, MALEVOLENCE, and provided voice-over work for the short film, SHADOW PUPPETS. Matthew has been involved with the Las Vegas club scene for a number of years, working as a bartender, promoter, and staff writer for XPERIENCE MAGAZINE. Matthew is in the process of publishing his first book.

Matthew's passion for acting dates back as far as his passion for drawing, sculpting, and poetry. His first experience on stage was in high school where he performed in several plays along with winning awards in regional tournaments. As an undergraduate at UNLV, Matthew learned the skills of screenwriting, editing, and production management. It was in the budding film department at UNLV where Matthew met Antonio Llapur, whose similar interest in movies, comics, and the Beatles would soon turn their friendship into a working business relationship.

In 2004, Matthew co-wrote, produced, and starred as DC Comics' Clown Prince, the Joker, in the Swamp's first short, JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE! Currently Matthew is hard at work on the Swamp's space adventure SPACE DETECTIVE. Not only does he star in the title role, Matthew serves as the co-writer and producer. He also created all of the dozens of fantastic creatures and make-up effects in the film, as well as the many costumes for the seeming hundreds of aliens that populate the SPACE DETECTIVE universe. As if all this on top of playing the film's iconic hero SHIRO weren't enough, Matthew also performs the mischievous CHI-MENG THE MAGNIFICENT, one of SPACE DETECTIVE's most complex puppet-creatures.

MARCUS SJAFIROEDDIN: Marcus is a classically trained musician whose credits include the LAS VEGAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA and the LAS VEGAS PHILHARMONIC. Marcus was also bassist for the successful Las Vegas based band KING CARTEL, whose album ATOMIC was named local album of the year 2000 by LAS VEGAS CITY LIFE MAGAZINE.

Favoring more behind-scenes work to the spotlight, Marcus has spent the past few years writing and recording in his own studio. Through his company NO EGO PRODUCTIONS, Marcus has produced audio and music for radio, commercials, and independent films.

Building on his already eclectic musical repertoire, Marcus serves as is the Swamp's official composer and sound effects producer, writing the score and creating audio effects for JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE!, the upcoming SPACE DETECTIVE, as well as the indie short, SHADOW PUPPETS.

RICO LEE SUNDELL: Rico is a working actor, model, and entrepreneur. He has been featured in numerous commercials and print adds, and has garnered successful work as an extra in such films as AMERICAN SWEETHEARTS, RUSH HOUR 2, and BLADE. Rico received his training under Frank Romano and Vic Perillo and is currently hard at work portraying the lovable little alien thug ZYZZO in the Swamp's upcoming release, the space-age mystery thriller SPACE DETECTIVE. As Rico's costar and producer, Matthew Sjafiroeddin, puts it, "Rico's performance really stands out in Space Detective. Zyzzo steals the movie!"

Aside from acting and modeling, Rico has worked as a talent agent, musician, and airbrush artist. Presently, Rico works in the Vegas nightclub scene as a promoter and VIP Host for a major strip venue.
