Space Detective Cast and Crew

MATTHEW SJAFIROEDDIN - SHIRO / WRITER / PRODUCER: Matthew is an accomplished actor, writer, filmmaker, artist, and poet. While studying film at UNLV he co-wrote and starred in the short films THEY'RE JUST GIRLS and MAIL ORDER NINJAS. Matthew recently appeared in a principal role in the 2004 independent feature film MALEVOLENCE, and provided voice-over work for the short film SHADOW PUPPETS. In 2004, Matthew co-wrote, produced, and starred as DC Comics' Clown Prince the Joker, in the Swamp's first short JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE! Currently Matthew is hard at work starring as the mysterious galactic crimefighter SHIRO in the Swamp's SPACE DETECTIVE. He also serves as the film's co-writer and producer. In addition, Matthew created the creature and make-up effects in the film, as well as costumes for the hundreds of aliens that populate SPACE DETECTIVE universe. Matthew also performs the mischievous CHI-MENG THE MAGNIFICENT, one of film's most complex puppet-creatures.

JINKS DARKANIAN: ANGELA RYSKIEWICZ / Angela Ryskiewicz has a B.F.A. in Theatre from Southern Oregon University. After graduation, she moved to Las Vegas where she met Antonio, Matt, and Jinks. She has since been steadily working on her craft on both stage and screen. Angela is currently pursuing her film career in Los Angeles.

NEMO STRANG - THAADIS-LARZ DARKANIAN: The enigmatic Nemo Strang is a man of many talents. Nemo began creating mix tapes at the age of 13. It was a life-long passion that led to a career in music producing, DJing, and artist management. Under his own music label / recording studio JAMPOT RECORDS, Nemo has been involved in developing many successful bands and recording artists, including BASIC, SUPERSTAR BINGO, SOUL KISS, PHATTER THAN ALBERT, BIG BAD ZERO, EXTRA KRISPY and KING CARTEL. While his role as the villainous THAADIS-LARZ DARKANIAN is his first acting gig, he is a natural in front of the camera. SPACE DETECTIVE director Antonio Llapur explains, "When me and Matt were writing the picture, Nemo was the only choice for the bad guy. I mean the kat has such an intimidating presence in real life… We wrote the part just for him. He chews up the scenery like a pro."

STEPHANIE REYNOLDS - voice of ABBEY: The versatile Stephanie Reynolds is an accomplished stage actor, stage manager, and director. On the stage, she has appeared as Bianca in OTHELLO, Hamlet in ROSENKRANTZ & GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD, Kitty Duvall in THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE, Allison in BREAKFAST CLUB, Shuita and Shente in THE GOOD PERSON OF SZECHUAN, Weezer in STEEL MAGNOLIAS, Cavale in COWBOY MOUTH, and MAY in FOOL FOR LOVE - which she also directed. Stephanie has also directed the play THE ROCK GARDEN, has handled stage make-up design on the plays A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and A LION IN WINTER, and she served as stage manager on THE TAMING OF THE SHREW. In Swamp Media Group's SPACE DETECTIVE, Stephanie lends her sexy voice to Shiro's wisecracking laser gun and trusted sidekick, ABBEY.

RICO LEE SUNDELL - ZYZZO: Rico is a working actor, model, and entrepreneur. He has been featured in numerous commercials and print adds, and has garnered successful work as an extra in such films as AMERICAN SWEETHEARTS, RUSH HOUR 2, and BLADE. Rico received his training under Frank Romano and Vic Perillo, and is currently hard at work portraying the lovable little alien thug ZYZZO in the Swamp's upcoming release, the space-age mystery thriller SPACE DETECTIVE. As Rico's costar and producer, Matthew Sjafiroeddin, puts it, "Rico's performance really stands out in Space Detective. Zyzzo steals the movie!"

STEED CORULLA - TH-U6: Steed is a screenwriter and playwright experimenting with avant-garde filmmaking. Well skilled in the arts of improv, comedy, and drama, Steed is a master of mimicry who can duplicate any accent or sound. He is a rhythmically tuneful singer/songwriter with an extraordinary whistling capability. He appeared in the feature film MALEVOLANCE, which debuted at the 2004 CineVegas film festival. He is currently hard at work writing two screenplays, "The Enemy Consumption" and "The Return".

LIEN TAN - GO-GO BOT: The beautiful Lien Tan is originally from Boston, where she gained some modeling experience and studied nursing. The role of the spunky and sexy GO-GO BOT in the Swamp's SPACE DETECTIVE is Lien's first acting role.

MARTIN WILSON - voice of BB-420

ANTONIO LLAPUR - DIRECTOR / WRITER /za PRODUCER: Antonio studied film at the UNLV, where he co-wrote and produced the short film THEY'RE JUST GIRLS as well as serving as an associate producer on the short MAIL ORDER NINJAS. A life-long Las Vegas resident, Antonio spent time working in Hollywood as a screenwriter, where he received minor work doing unaccredited script doctoring. Most notably, Antonio operated for three years as the nightlife columnist for LAS VEGAS WEEKLY in the wildly popular column, DIGITAL TONY. Antonio co-wrote, produced, and directed the Swamp's first short - JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE! Currently, he is directing the Swamp's ambitious, novella-length sci-fi adventure SPACE DETECTIVE. In addition to calling the shots behind the camera and working as the film's co-writer and producer, Antonio heads the film's design and visual f/x department. Antonio also takes a turn in front of the camera as the nefarious MR. BLACK.

AARON GOODWIN - DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY / CO-PRODUCER: The one and only Aaron Goodwin is one of the stars of Travel Channel's spooky hit show GHOST ADVENTURES. He's produced and shot numerous music videos, commercials, and demo reels. Aaron served as a cameraman and director of photography for the Swamp's JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE! For SPACE DETECTIVE, Aaron is the Director of Digital Photography, cameraman, and is one the picture's Co-Producers.

MARCUS SJAFIROEDDIN - ORIGINAL MUSIC / SOUND DESIGN / CO-PRODUCER: Marcus is a classically trained musician whose credits include the LAS VEGAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA and the LAS VEGAS PHILHARMONIC. Marcus was also bassist for the successful Las Vegas based band KING CARTEL, whose album ATOMIC was named local album of the year 2000 by LAS VEGAS CITY LIFE MAGAZINE. Building on his already eclectic musical repertoire, Marcus serves as is the Swamp's official composer and sound effects producer, writing the score and creating audio effects for JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE!, the upcoming SPACE DETECTIVE, as well as the indie short, SHADOW PUPPETS. Don't miss the normally peace-loving Marcus as one Mr. Black's dastardly bodyguards in the Swamp's SPACE DETECTIVE.

AMAHL DUNBAR – 3D ANIMATION LEAD: The talented Mr. Dunbar first began working with digital media tinkering with Photoshop while studying at the University at Buffalo. From 2000-2004, Amahl studied 3D animation & special effects at the Community College in Las Vegas, where he is currently an assistant instructor for the 3D Animation Department. In 2004, Amahl created the Gotham City and Batsignal FX for the Swamp’s JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE! The brilliant Amahl Dunbar is the man behind the dynamic 3D animated starships that zoom throughout Swamp Media Group’s SPACE DETECTIVE.

CHARLIE WILSON - 2D ANIMATOR / CREATURE FX / CREW: Charlie Wilson is one of the Swamp's go-to men. On SPACE DETECTIVE, this jack-of-all-trades handles FX animations like SHIRO'S Electro Baton and ABBEY's laser blasts. Young Mr. Wilson was also responsible for the construction of everybody's favorite bitchbot, BB-420 - who happens to be voiced by Charlie's father, Martin Wilson. Charlie also portrays a number of the many aliens found in the Swamp's upcoming release. He also took an acting turn in Swamp Media Group's JOKER DOES SHAKESPEARE! as the Clown Prince's happy victim. Charlie is a budding filmmaker in his own right, with many projects developing through his own production company Three Light Pictures. Last year, Charlie directed the short film SHADOW PUPPETS.
